"Building your Body of Work" Workshops this Fall

As we shift into fall, both slowing down and speeding up, it was good to take the holiday weekend on reflect on what was an incredible summer on so many counts. I don’t know about you, but it has been wonderful and humbling and frustrating, sometimes all at once. I feel like I was able to embrace summer in new ways this year, mostly due to the work I have been doing to align myself to the seasons in a way that works well for me and my creativity. This does not mean easier- it means more present and real.

A big shift has been to slow down the process with the Gray Matter Series projects and really savor the collaborations and the unfolding of each concept. Body of Work is still being worked through. I know because I show up to the intentions every day, working to listen to myself and to the cycles of nature. In the past I would have powered through to the next season, an idea that I have been nurturing for about a year now. Instead, I have been partnering with my creativity and learning more about timing. The next project is already underway, and I look forward to sharing more with you in the spring of 2020.

Until then, let’s luxuriate in the lessons of autumn.

Building Your Body of Work is a combination of all of the workshops i have taught to date, a three hour group session paired with a one hour one-on-one guidance session with one of my Chakra Portraits.

It is listening to the rhythms of nature, building trust within ourselves, and really getting clear on how we want to show up for our communities.

We will plot out a map of our creative life; where we have been, where we are, where we want to go.

We will talk about how to stand in our strength, and how to hold space for others to be able to stand in their own strength.

It’s about gaining the tools to get grounded in our creative process so we can create the kind of world we want to live and work in.

The future relies on our ability to work confidently and creatively together, no matter where we are on the planet.

Fargo/Moorhead workshop takes place Saturday, September 14th at Workerby Studio HQ.

The Minneapolis/Saint Paul workshop takes place Saturday, September 21st at byrd&belle HQ.
